Type 2: Wavy Hair

It is essential to use a shampoo that does not contain sulfate when you have curls like these, and you should only brush your hair while it is wet in the shower. Doing so will help to tame the wildness of the curls.
Type 3: Curly Hair
According to de Leon, this particular type of curl has a tendency to be more uniform and can range from buoyant loops to an ‘S’ shape curl pattern. “It has a coiling shape from the roots to the very ends (think ringlets), and it is prone to dehydration, so extra care and hydration are necessary for this curl type,” says the author.
Type 3 hair is prone to frizz and can be styled in a variety of ways, from subtle loops to tightly wrapped corkscrew shapes. These styles are known to dry quickly.
Type 4: Coily Hair
The tight appearance of coil curls is one of their most recognisable characteristics. They have a tendency to be on the drier side and can have a texture that ranges from fine to coarse. “4A is coiled with an evident ‘S’ or ringlet pattern,” says Alicia Bailey, who is an expert on hair texture and the director of education at Design Essentials. “4B is coiled with a distinct wave pattern.” She claims that the hair type has a moderate amount of volume but has limited movement. Additionally, the hair is fragile, dry, and easily tangles.
